As a freelance copywriter, Mary worked with local Colorado Springs advertising creatives to spearhead the El Paso County Democratic Party social media campaign by building a campaign strategy, producing daily content and weekly blogs to reach over 20+ target audiences. In the end, the Democratic vote in El Paso county was higher that it has ever been. In fact, it was 10% higher than it was in 2016.

Our social campaign reached more than 90,000 people, got more than 8,000 engagements, and was shared more than 400 times. Plus, the efficiency of our outreach was about twice that of any other medium.

It opened up new insights for the local party into use of social media, micro-targeting, blogging, 3rd party sights, and dealing with trolls.
